THE NEW ENTREPRENEUR

More and more livelihoods are built around ideas rather than professions. Entire subcultures, dialects, etiquettes, and networks are emerging exclusively for entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is so ideally suited to today’s complex global landscape that it is redefining the rules of business.

Our programs and initiatives in this focus area help create local and global learning spaces for identifying new venture opportunities and cross-sector partnerships—whether it be for achieving more strategic community development, better resource stewardship, or health systems change.

We are continually developing new ways to spark entrepreneurial thinking and to provide tools for successful business and market creations.

INCLUSIVE INNOVATION AND ENTERPRISE DESIGN

At Executive Education, we work in close collaboration with innovation and enterprise leaders within Beedie and beyond—from the Jack Austin Centre for Asia Pacific Business Studies (focusing on BOP—bottom-of-the-pyramid—innovation approaches) to Beedie’s in-house social innovation lab and venture accelerator RADIUS. In partnership with such centers and initiatives, Executive Education builds learning experiences that help organizations catalyze change beyond their workplace. Contact us to discuss co-developing a program based on design thinking and social venture design, with the aim of community engagement and social and environmental impact.
